March Madness!

Like every other Kentuckian, we are having so much fun watching our Wildcats in the NCAA Tournament. Just like they should, they have turned it up big time the last 2 games! This team is a blast to watch, they are so talented. I love John Wall, Demarcus Cousins, Eric Bledsoe, and of course Patrick Patterson! I'm so glad Darius Miller is playing so well in the tournament! I don't think our chances have been better to make a run for the National Championships, and The West Family will be in front of a TV for every remaining game, cheering them on!

This past weekend, we bought a van! I am so excited. I have been wanting a new vehicle for a few years now, the timing just wasn't right. I had my Honda Accord since May, 2000. I was a sophomore in college! It was a great car, it was so reliable and served our family well. I sold my car on craigs list, of all places! It only took 6 days, and the car was gone and money in my account. I would recommend using craigs list to anyone trying to sell a car. This was our first time, and it was a seamless process! I will miss my little car. It was the only car Brody ever knew, we drove both of our babies home from the hospital in it, went on countless trips, always getting us to and from safely. But, the time came to upgrade to a mini-van!

We ended up getting a Honda Odyssey. I had such a good experience with my car, we did not think twice about getting another Honda. We get to pick it up tonight, since they were putting a DVD player in it. Brody is so excited about that feature! I will post pictures later this week.

Here is a really cute picture of Raegan. I haven't been taking as many pictures lately. I need to get on the ball. Happy Spring!

Tubby Time!

Yea! It is going to be 60 degrees today, sunny, beautiful! We are so ready for nice weather. Brody is itching to get outside and play. Raegan also loves being in the fresh air. I'm hoping to get to Red River Gorge this weekend. I miss hiking, and this weather is perfect hiking weather!

Brody and Raegan have started to take baths together. Brody loves to play in the tub with his sister. Raegan enjoys all of the space, as opposed to her bathing in the sink! Fun times!

Great Wolf Lodge

This past weekend, Ryan and I took Brody to Great Wolf Lodge. It was a great time! Brody loved it! He really deserved some quality time with his mom and dad, and we really enjoyed being a threesome again. Although, I did miss Raegan definitely more than once during the day (we were only gone a little over 24 hours).

Brody loved the waterslides. He has no fear. He bravely went down every slide we went on. Many he had to ride in a tube with Ryan or me, but each time he was so happy and excited! I took a few pictures while Ryan and Brody were having fun. But, not too many, because I was jealous and wanted to join them! We had a great time, and will definitely go there again. Maybe this summer?

On a sad note, we came home to Raegan being sick! My mom said she started getting feverish Saturday night along with being whiny and uncomfortable. Turns out she has an ear infection. Thank goodness Ryan was able to diagnose her and call in an antibiotic Sunday afternoon (perks of having a Daddy who is also a doc)! She is on the mend and will hopefully be fever-free soon!?!?

Enjoying Winter

We are really enjoying the winter weather! Brody and Ryan have gotten to go sledding a few times with the last couple of snows we have gotten. Unfortunately, I don't have a single picture of Brody in the snow. Usually Ryan takes him to his brother's house to sled and I am at home with Raegan. So, we have yet to get a picture of Brody. I know Ryan's dad has taken some, so I will definitely try to get some from him.

Here's what's new since the last post:

* We joined the YMCA here in Paris. Since then, we've gone swimming 3 times. Brody loves this activity, and Raegan is pretty good sitting in her stroller. I haven't gotten the nerve up to leave her in the nursery. If the same holds true as it did with Brody, maybe I will when she is 2!

* Brody started a gymnastics class at The Little Gym today. He loved his first class. We are going to go once a week on Monday mornings. It's a great way for him to get some exercise and have a great time doing it!

* Raegan is now solely eating formula. Bye-bye breastfeeding! I am so glad I was able to nurse Raegan for 6 months. But, I am also relieved to be done. She is having no problems and is now sleeping all night long. Yay!! She also loves eating baby food, although she is NOT a fan of green veggies. She even gags and cries whenever I try to get her to eat them.

*This weekend, Ryan and I are taking Brody to Great Wolf Lodge for a night. I think he will really enjoy the time with us by himself! My parents are watching Raegan. Not sure if I will get pictures from all the fun, since we will be in the water the whole time. But, I will try.

*Ryan and I are going to the UK Basketball game tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to it. Any chance to see the Cats play is great! It's also nice to have a kid-free night!

Here are some recent pictures!

Raegan is 6 Months Old!

My sweet little girl is 6 months old today! Time is going by so quickly....too quickly! Before we know it, she'll be walking and talking and giving her older brother a run for his money. But for now, she's our sweet little baby girl. Happy 6 Month Birthday Raegan!

Brody the Ring Bearer

Congratulations Dr. and Mrs. Chris West! Their wedding was this past Saturday. It was a gorgeous wedding. Maggie looked beautiful. My little boy did a great job as ring bearer! He was also very well behaved during the ceremony (thank you Daddy's Gameboy)! I didn't get a lot of pictures, but I'm hoping to get some from the photographer. I can't believe I didn't get a picture of Raegan in her adorable pink dress. She looked precious and was also very well behaved (thanks Mom)!
